What is Blonk?
Blonk Quality Ingredients is a company specialized in the production of teff, which is grown and processed in Spain. Moreover, we also offer other anciant grains with high nutritional values.
Our Story & Mission
Blonk was born in 2008 with the purpose of developing Teff’s farming in Spain, astonished by its extraordinary properties. We started with this project because we wanted to make Teff accessible to the whole world without extracting it from Ethiopia and Eritrea, where it is a staple food crucial to the local population. Besides being committed to quality nutrition, we also care about the Spanish local and rural economy, where the cultivation of Teff has had a positive impact on both the farmers and the environment. In fact, one of the reasons why we started with Teff is due to its sustainability as we are strongly concerned with the environment and dessertification.
Our goal is to continue bringing Teff to more homes, further develop Spain’s rural economy and keep supplying the Ethiopian and Eritrean community around the world without reducing the quantity of Teff available in Africa.

Although Teff is originally from Ethiopia, its wonderful properties encouraged us to start growing it in Spain more than 10 years ago in various regions of the Iberian country.
Control & Quality
We control the whole process, from farm to final product so we have total traceability. All our teff is processed on our premises with extreme care and complies with all EU food regulations, certified by external official laboratories.
R&D
We are continuously working on improving the crop conditions, the nutritional values of teff and developing new products, allowing us to offer a superior quality teff and to meet our customers' needs.
Organic Production
We produce both conventional and organic teff, being the world largest producer of the latter, bringing to organic food companies the possibility of working with teff as well.

100% of the teff is grown and processed in Spain.
As we are fully commited with the quality of our products, we even go beyond the EU Food Regulations.
It is the only ingredient that we produce and all the products are processed from the beginning to the end on our premises.
We know exactly the origin of every kilogram; we control everything from farm to table.
We do an analysis on more than 750 elements on every batch.

We use a lot less water than other irrigated crops.
